The Xbox 360 is a game console made by Microsoft and the successor to the Xbox. It is a seventh-generation console released in North America in November 22, 2005 and December 10, 2005 in Japan. It was rivaled by seventh-generation consoles PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. The original 360 model was notorious for the "Red Ring of Death" though this issue was fixed in the later models of the 360, Xbox 360 S and Xbox 360 E. The 360 has yet to be discontinued with games still released for the system and Xbox Live still active though it has since been succeeded by the eight-generation Xbox One.

So far, the only Xbox 360 game that the Nerd has reviewed the 2006 edition of Sonic the Hedgehog, with the entire game to beat in the second part of the review. It is also one of the most recently-released games to be reviewed along with Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz and Far Cry Vengeance. It also made an appearance (as a Black-colored design) at the end of the Pong Consoles episode.
