Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a 1988 video game by LJN for the NES. It was based off the film of the same name.

AVGN episode[]

The fourth episode, was released on April 24, 2006 and it was the second video to be uploaded straight to YouTube. This is when Rolfe and Matei uploaded the first four videos to YouTube; where the show started gaining popularity. The Nerd also revisits the game four years later in the episode Back to the Future Re-Revisited.

The closing line, "I wanna nail Roger Rabbit to the fuckin' cross" was considered the Nerd's best moment of 2006.

The line, "Why is the password so long?" was shown from the full intro theme originated from this episode.

List of The Nerd's Complains[]

  • The Punch ability takes really long to fully charge and makes the character really slow being a pain in the ass according to the Nerd (Original video)
  • The Driving controls are horrible as the footage shows the nerd trying to steer the car and it constantly spins from how bad it responds. (Original video)
  • The Passwords being extremely long and taking too much time to write. (Original video)
  • The Cryptic Jessica Rabbit phone puzzle where you had to actually call her (Original video) and later that phone line was replaced with a sex hotline (Re-Revisited)
  • Painfully going through all your items to select one (Original video)
  • The item for sale only giving you an item per visit, if you want an specific item the player must constantly go back and forth into the store untill he gets that item (Original video)
  • The Judge Doom boss fight is extremely hard, most of your weapons are useless (Original video), only punches are useful and is really hard to hit him, then after that you must grab the dip cannon, select it, and shoot doom with it as now he instantly kills you if he punches you, however you must hold the button down, instead of rapidly press the button repeatedly (Re-Revisited)

Originally, the episode was supposed to end with an improvised rant by the Nerd in which he would start shouting about terrible features in the game and mentioning what he would rather do than play the game. According to a now-deleted tweet by Mike Matei, the scene did not end up in the finished episode because, due to a tech error, the sound recording was switched off, leading to mute video footage they couldn't use. There is no information provided about what was specifically mentioned in the rant. After Lost Media Wiki user Ben Roddison contacted James Rolfe, it is now confirmed that the audio was never recorded and the video footage was wiped from the tapes, meaning that the footage is permanently lost.
