AVGN I & II Deluxe - Teaser Trailer

Angry Video Game Nerd I & II Deluxe is the collection, sequel, and threequel of The Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures 2: ASSimilation and a new third chapter titled The Angry Video Game Nerd in "Tower of Torment" The Final Chapter. It was first confirmed via FreakZone's Facebook. On January 20th, 2020, it got its trailer on ScreenWave Media Games. It was released October 30th, 2020 on Steam and Nintendo Switch and will be released on Playstation 4 and Xbox One at March 19th, 2021.

The game takes several gameplay styles from classic titles such as MegamanCastlevania, and Crash Bandicoot. Having an uncountable amount of obstacles (such as the flying fireballs, constantly appearing spikes, and the always tedious death blocks) as well as hard-to-kill enemies, there are several references to past AVGN episodes. These range from quotes, enemies, hazards, and power ups. One power up is the rock from Friday the 13th, the Glitch Gremlin that leaves a trail of enemy freezing glitches, and Super Mecha Death Christ, a power up that destroys and kills all opponents on screen. Beer bottles are also points of health and tiny AVGN faces serve as extra lives, while Nintoasters serve as checkpoints.

The Angry Video Game Nerd in Tower of Torment: The Final Chapter[]

"Are you Nerd enough to complete the all new Final Chapter?"
—The Fucking Rabbit to Nerd in the trailer

Tower of Torment: The Final Chapter is an additional game added in Deluxe and can only be unlocked after you finished both games, it is a castle themed world (based from Bugs Bunny: Crazy Castle and Dragon's Lair). The 2nd level is a reference to Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing where the Nerd must avoid incoming truck, in the second part of the level, the truck runs faster while driving in reverse, referencing it's driving mechanic in the game. The 3rd level is a vertical platforming level reminiscent of Rainbow Islands, but with Nerd wraps from right and appear in left. The final boss is a parody of Bugs Bunny (referred to as The Fucking Rabbit), he explains to Nerd that he became upset because they didn't invited him in the first two games. It contains two boss battles, the first battle is where the Nerd must defeat The Fucking Rabbit while avoiding carrot rockets and falling anvils that writtens FKME (a parody of ACME). The second battle is where the Nerd fights The Fucking Rabbit in his giant form, he shoots fireballs from his eyes and throws feces to his butt which also his weak spot. After defeating The Fucking Rabbit, the giant bomb drops on the Nerd and explodes sending them to hell. As the two landed in front of the Devil with numerous Shit Pickle's are watching, the Devil yells Finish Him! parodying Mortal Kombat, however after The Fucking Rabbit was killed, the Nerd is stranded in Hell.

The Nerd would also kept his upgrades from the second game, if the player collects them.

  • Due to licensing issues, The Nostalgia Critic was removed from the game and has been replaced by Fred Fucks.

  • Any references to "Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie" has been removed. This was partly because Screenwave holds the rights to the movie characters, and partly because the developers wanted to tie both games into one coherent story and line them up to the show's current continuity[1]. Because of this removal, several characters from the movie was changed such as;
    • General Dark Onward has been replaced by Dark Invader, a combination of Darth Vader from the Star Wars franchise and Dalek from Doctor Who series. Invader's dialogue breaks the fourth wall to mention the game is a "special edition", which is simultaneously a jab at the 1997 Star Wars Special Edition.
